Sleep cycle
When we are awake we are in beta wave. 1 sleep cycle is approximately 90 minutes long. You have 1800 dreams a year, 100,000dreams a life time. Source Stages of a cycle: 1. Hypnagogic state (alpha wave) 10 min In this state you will experience dream-like hallucinations. 2. Light dreamless sleep (theta wave) 20-30min In this state you are black out. 3. Deep delta wave sleep 30-45min This is where restoration and detox processes happen 4. REM (theta wave) 30-60min This is where you dream. And your body is immobile and paralyzed. Brain is very active. 5. Hypnopompic state When you reach this state you wake up. And actually you wake up 4 to 5 times during the night when you reach this state of the cycle. But you do not remember it because the waking up is very brief. If you wake up in the state, it will be very easy to wake up.
